Without doubt, the Peak District National Park is one of the most beautiful areas in Britain. However, don’t take our word for it, let the facts speak for themselves. It is the second most visited National Park in the World, and Ivy House is right here in the middle, near to the pretty villages of Hartington and Tissington.
Personally run by Mervyn and Debbie King, Ivy House is a converted Grade II Listed Coaching Inn that dates back to the 1790’s when the Ashbourne to Buxton road was part of the London to Manchester trade route. The house itself stands 1000ft above sea level, with spectacular views for several miles to the west. To the rear we have our listed stone barns that also date back to the 1790’s. Ashbourne, Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock are all close by, as are tourist attractions such as Chatsworth house, Haddon Hall, Dovedale and of course hundreds of square miles of prime walking country. |
